Ministerial Major

Has God called you to prepare for vocational ministry? Perhaps God is directing you to prepare to be a Pastor, Youth Pastor, Evangelist, Chaplain, Children's Pastor. Then this is most likely the degree program for you.

The objective of the Ministerial/Biblical Studies Double Major is to teach individuals to effectively communicate the teachings of Scripture and the application of those teachings to everyday life. It is not just the theory of Christian ministry that is examined, but also the opportunity to implement the principles through practical hands-on experience.

Trinity Bible College does not grant ministerial credentials, but courses taken for this degree program would meet those required by the Assemblies of God for ministerial credentials.

A strong core of Biblical and Theological Studies forms the nucleus of the program. It is believed that a workman ought to be able to "rightly divide the Word of God" and to "understand sound doctrine". The perspective of the history of the church aids our understanding of current issues and trends.

In addition to the Bible and Theology Core, A General Education component allows the student to explore the world of knowledge and to integrate faith and learning in all areas.

The Professional Ministry Requirements provide the theory and practical applications necessary for leadership within the church, parachurch organization, or ministry.

The Biblical Studies, General Education, and Professional Ministry Requirements are the same for each concentration within the Ministerial degree program.

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God to a mature man to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. - Ephesians 4:11-13 NASV
