Maybe God is leading you to establish new churches or to revitalize churches that have lost their luster. A pioneer missionary spirit like this needs to be coupled with a knowledge and awareness of cultural and social barriers to successful ministry, in addition to the ministerial skills of a Pastor.
An emphasis on practical experience is a major element of this concentration. A practicum and an internship alongside a proven Pastor are considered to be vital to the success of the church planter/pioneer.
