The biblical studies minor combines core courses in biblical studies and theology. It is designed to provide a solid framework to enable students to grasp an understanding of biblical and theological concepts and integrate these concepts into their lives and vocations. This minor is designated for students enrolled in majors that do not specifically prepare them for church vocations.
Objectives
Upon completion students should be able to:

demonstrate an understanding of the major biblical and theological truths of God’s Word.

utilize sound interpretive skills to study the Bible and discover universal theological principles and how they apply to ones life today.

understand how to integrate their Christian faith and their major area of study to provide an effective Christian witness within the environment of their vocation.
Outcomes Assessment
The outcomes assessment requirement includes:

a standardized outcomes assessment test, taken during the senior year.

a Bible content test.

*All Bachelor of Arts students are required to have 128 credits at graduation. If students are seeking only this minor, they will be required to complete a total of 25 credits of electives. However, should they add an additional minor, the number of electives will decrease by the number of credits required for the second minor.
