Objectives
Upon completion of the intercultural studies concentration, the student should be able to:
- demonstrate the character of Christ and a
servant’s heart as a basis for service.
- understand the major religions of the world and
how to communicate to those of other faiths.
- demonstrate an understanding of the biblical
basis, history, current concepts, strategies,
theology, and dynamics of intercultural service.
- understand and demonstrate how to
successfully live, relate, and work while training
and empowering national leadership in a crosscultural
setting.
- integrate theory and practice in a field
experience designed to affirm students’ gifts
and to develop students’ professional skills.
- develop an attitude of acceptance and
appreciation of other cultures and peoples.
