Trinity Hosts the 2010 AGCU Basketball Classic

On January 14th, 15th, and 16th the Trinity Bible College men and women’s basketball teams will be hosting the Assemblies of God Credit Union Basketball Classic in Ellendale at the Ray Ulmer Field House. The teams include:

Central Bible College, Springfield, IL
North Central University, Minneapolis, MN
Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, ND
Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville, PA

Bosworth Named NCCAA All-American

Senior Shean Bosworth was named to the NCCAA All-American 2nd Team this last week. On the season, Bosworth led the team in four major statistical categories, averaging 19.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 0.9 blocks per game. Bosworth shot 42.7% from the field and 38.9% from the three point line.

Trinity Men fall in Championship game to North Central

The Trinity Bible College men’s basketball team was defeated in the championship game against #1 seed North Central University 97-87 on Saturday.

North Central came out of the gates shooting extremely well. The Rams hit three out of their first four three’s to start the game which really dug the Lions into a hole. But the Lions were able to rally and tie the game at 17 with 13:24 remaining in the first half. Unfortunately, North Central would take control of the first half from there and take a 13 point lead into halftime with a 49-36 advantage.

Trinity Men Upset Faith in First Round of Regionals

The Trinity Bible College men’s basketball team defeated the #2 seed Faith Baptist Bible College 85-80 in the first round of the Regional Tournament. Trinity came in as the #3 seed while the host team Faith was ranked #2 in the North Central Region.

Trinity Basketball Earns Eight All-Conference Awards

Trinity Bible College is pleased to announce this year’s All-Conference award recipients. The awards were announced at this season’s Conference Tournament held in St. Cloud, MN this past weekend.

Men Place 2nd in Conference Tournament

The Trinity Bible College men’s basketball team finished 2nd in this year’s NIAC tournament held in St. Cloud, MN. Trinity advanced to the championship game by defeating AFLBS out of Plymouth, MN 76-65. Senior Jimmy McKinzie led the Lions with 21 points and a team-high 8 rebounds. He also led the team with 5 steals in the game. Shean Bosworth scored 17 points and had 3 steals for the game. Mikey Rosario was the only other Lion in double-figures. Colby Simonsen and Michael Rohrbach each scored 8, respectively. For the game, the Lions would hit 10-23 from the three-point line.
