Senior Shean Bosworth was named to the NCCAA All-American 2nd Team this last week. On the season, Bosworth led the team in four major statistical categories, averaging 19.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 0.9 blocks per game. Bosworth shot 42.7% from the field and 38.9% from the three point line.
He was also named to the North Central Region All-Regional 1st Team and was named Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NIAC) Co-Most Valuable Player of the Year. In the Regional tournament hosted by Faith Baptist Bible College, Bosworth averaged 29.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in leading the Lions to a 2nd place finish. In his one and a half seasons with the Lions, he scored a total of 944 points (18.8 ppg.) and grabbed a total of 401 rebounds (8.02 rpg.) in 50 career games.
“Shean is a match-up nightmare,” said Coach Nowell. “He’s 6’5 and can play inside or outside. He’s an incredible scorer that doesn’t come around very often. Shean knows how to take over a game with his shooting or his passing, evident by his 3 games he had this season when he had over 10 assists. He played all five positions for us this season, and that is a compliment to his versatility and his ability on the court.”
