Trinity Lady Lions Athletics This Week
This Week: Trinity Bible College Lions (16-11
overall, 6-0 in NIAC) look to get back into the action with a road game Tuesday
and a pair of home games Friday night and Saturday after a 9 day layoff.
The Lady Lions head out on the road to Devils Lake, North Dakota on Tuesday
night to face Lake Region State College (N.D.) (Record Unavailable) Tip-off is
slated to start at 6:30 p.m. TBC returns home Friday night to kick off
their last two regular season home games. The Lady Lions host Crossroads
College (M.N.) (0-13), tip-off is set for Friday Night at 6p.m. and
Saturday at 1p.m. Ray Ulmer Fieldhouse. Friday night will be Senior night for
the Lions.
Last Meeting: The Lions have not faced Lake Region
State College before; it will be their first and only meeting this
season. They have not faced Crossroad College this year either; The Lady
Lions won both meetings last season.
Last Time Out: Trinity Bible College was last in action
in January, when they played 4 games in 6 days. They lost to United Tribes
Technical College, Monday January 23rd in a game that saw the Lions
come back from a 13 point deficit, only to come up short, missing a game tying
shot with 2.7 seconds left, losing 70 to 68. The Lady Lions then lost at
University of Minnesota- Morris 83 to 35. After a brief two days off, the Lions
traveled to Madison, SD and played Dakota State University and lost 78 to 62.
The next day they traveled down to Ankeny, IA to play regional opponent Faith
Baptist Bible College, in a game which they controlled from the start and won 57
to 34 to move to 2-1 in the North Central Region.
National Rankings: According to the NCCAA statistics
as of Jan. 31st, Trinity Bible College ranks 3rd in the nation in free throw
goal percentage (67.1%) and 4th in the nation in scoring (63.7 points per game).The
Lady Lions are 8th in field goal percentage (38.8%). The Lady Lions junior guard Treva Nutter ranks
7th in the nation for points per game (17.6). She is also ranked 19th
in field goal percentage (42.2%), 4th in free throw percentage
(80.8%) and 9th in steals per game (3.3). Junior guard Shianne
Montgomery ranks 14th the nation in three point percentage (32.6%), and sophomore
guard Kylie Flemmer ranks 18th (29.9%).
Lions Leaders: Treva Nutter leads the Lady Lions in scoring
with an average of 17.6 points per game; she also leads the team in assists and
steals. Freshman Hannah Daly leads the team in rebounds with 7.3 per game
and 174 on the season; sophomore Kayla Droste leads the team in field goal
percentage (46%).

Bible College will be hosting the NIAC Conference tournament February 16th,
17th and 18th and they also will be hosting the North
Central Regional Tournament February 24th and 25th.
