The Trinity Bible College Football Lions are proud to
announce another crop of signings for the fall 2012 football season.
A list highlighted by mostly defensive players
is started off with Cody Ward from East Ridge High School in Clermont, FL. Cody will bring his 4.39 speed in the 40 yard
dash to the defensive backfield and should have ample opportunities to
contribute as a freshman. Kaleb Spangler, from Rifle High School in Rifle, CO,
brings his 6’2” 270 pound frame to the Trinity D-Line. Kaleb brings a humble
spirit and a willingness to work hard to the Lion team and will have a great
group of teammates to learn from. Charles Jefferson, from Assumption High School in
Napolenville, Louisiana, also joins the ranks of the Lions. Charles accumulated 40 tackles his senior
year to go with 6 forced fumbles and 4 sacks.
He also rushed the football 121 times for 636 yards on his way to
All-District and All-Region awards.
Charles will be looked at as an Outside Linebacker for the Lions and his
talent, hustle, and hard work will give him plenty of chances to contribute as
a freshman. Devin Christy, from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA, brings
his 5’6” 160 pound frame to the Trinity Lion offensive backfield. Devin was a 2nd team All-Bay
League Running Back as he ran for 521 yards, including, 163 against Hawthorne
High, his senior year. Devin will join a
talented Trinity backfield and we’ll see time in the slot for the Lion Spread
Offense as well. His speed and
elusiveness will make him very fun to watch this Fall. Daniel Rodriguez and
David Riveria from Ronald W. Reagan Doral High School in Miami, FL, come to the
Lions as a Defensive Lineman and a Wide Receiver. Daniel led his team in sacks His senior year
and was also voted a team captain. His motor, energy, and work ethic will be
welcomed commodities to the Lion D-Line!
David brings his 5’9” 165 pound frame to Lion offense. As a senior at Reagan High, David had 368
yards receiving and 116 yards rushing while amassing 3 touchdowns. He was also a team captain for 3 years and
helped lead his team to their first ever bowl championship. David will be asked to provide immediate help
at the wideout position for the Lions in the fall.
The Recruits keep rolling in for the Lions and the fall
should bring more continued improvement for our Lions!
