Required Qualifications:
Outstanding communicator, accurately presenting Biblical truth and providing avenues of application that are comprehensible, inspiring and relevant to today’s lifestyles and concerns.

Working with the Elder Board, our Senior Pastor will provide a general sense of spiritual direction towards growth, based upon the defined values, vision and mission of CBC and our desire to search for and be in obedience to God's will.

Our Senior Pastor will provide strong leadership and administration within the church for staff members and lay leaders, guiding the ministries already in place, delegating responsibilities and encouraging people to serve with excellence according to their gifts and talents. This leadership will be administered in an atmosphere of love, cooperation and accountability.

As the shepherd within our community, our Senior Pastor will provide nurture and care for the spiritual, emotional and physical needs within our church and the surrounding area. He will be a knowledgeable, compassionate and trustworthy counselor.

Personally, our Senior Pastor will have an obvious, vibrant love for God and an unwavering commitment to His Word. He will be committed to personal prayer, study, growth, and spiritual development and will be supported and encouraged by his congregation to do so. He will have a passion for reaching the lost, calling the seekers and having an awareness and relevancy in our community. He will have at least 5 years experience and a seminary/bible college degree.

Description of Church/Organization:
We are a young, growing, energetic community of believers focused on learning, understanding and applying the Word of God in creative and caring ways.

We are a 15-year old, non-denominational, independent church with a contemporary worship style.

Our attendance averages around 180 on Sunday mornings, and our weekly children and youth programs have made a strong impact in our area. We have a commitment to Christian growth through personal contact, care and encouragement with small groups, bible studies and community involvement.

Description of Community:
We are located in a peaceful, small, welcoming community in west-central Illinois (not Chicago), within 5 miles of a city of 30,000 (Galesburg) and within 50 miles of Peoria and the Quad Cities.
