An Interview with the Prez
What you Might Not Know About Him
by Ryan Burbank
As all of you know, Trinity has a new President--Jack Strom (aka The Prez.) He is a man of integrity and dignity. I have come to admire and respect him. I sat down with him and asked him a couple of questions. Some are serious questions, and some... well...you'll just have to read it.
Q: Why did you say yes to Trinity?
A: "That decision was made when I responded to God's call." He says that it's the desire of his heart, based on knowledge, and perpetuated by love.
Q: What's your favorite color?
A: Red because it's a decisive color.
Q: Are you allergic to anything?
A: Yes, but I'm not quite sure what it is. Maybe it's a venus flytrap? Ok, maybe not...
Q: What's the most random fact about you and your wife?
A: When I first kissed my wife, the first thing that happened was her stomach growled. "I was waiting for jets to roar over her head, with bells and whistles to go off, but her stomach growled."
Q: What's your vision?
A: To bring Trinity back to it's original intention. 80% of AG churches are in rural areas. We are a place to learn how to serve them.
Q: What's your favorite food?
A: I eat to live, not live to eat. If I had to choose, I'd say hamburger and fries because you don't have to think. Every place has it. Barb's favorite food is a Norwegian dish called club (pronounced klub.) It's potatoes, flour, and oatmeal.
Q: What do you know about Mr. Jones that no one else knows?
A: We have a pact because something I did might come back to bite me.
Q: What's your most embarrassing moment?
A: I'll sum it up. I was about to do a skit on the signing of the declaration of independence. It was my queue, so I walked down the aisle, then I felt a little queasy. It came up, I ran out, I came back in, and finished the skit. Actually, I did that skit close to 100 times that year. If I didn't go back on stage, I probably wouldn't have done it ever again.
